Next-Generation enterprise SSD Controller and Power Solutions to Lead Power
Efficiency Revolution in the AI Era |
FADU Inc. (Co-CEOs: Jihyo Lee
and Ehyun Nam), the fabless semiconductor company specializing in datacenter
solutions, announced on April 23 (local time) that it was officially invited as
one of the customers to exhibit in the Innovation Zone at the TSMC 2025 North America Technology
Symposium held at the Santa Clara Convention Center in California, USA, paving
the way to connect with potential global customers.
At its exhibition booth, FADU
showcased next-generation solid-state drive (SSD) controllers for datacenters
and power optimized semiconductor technologies, reinforcing its position as a
key player in the global AI semiconductor ecosystem.
FADU was invited to participate in the Innovation Zone exhibition for the first time, an exclusive platform dedicated to showcasing cutting-edge technologies developed by start-up companies from around the world. This unique opportunity highlighted how FADU, alongside other exhibitors, is driving technology advancements across various industries through its collaboration with TSMC. At the event, FADU introduced its flagship PCIe 5.0 enterprise SSD controller, the FC5161, along with its SSD products (U.2, E1.S), and its in-house developed Power Management IC (PMIC) and Power Loss Protection IC (PLP IC), presenting a comprehensive solution for AI-driven datacenter needs.
Notably, the upcoming PCIe 6.0
controller that is scheduled for release in next year, attracted significant
attention for its power efficiency—delivering more than double the
performance-per-watt compared to previous models. This innovation addresses one
of the most pressing challenges in the AI era: the rising cost of datacenter operation.
As enhancing power consumption
efficiency becomes a top priority for global tech giants, FADU is proactively
responding to this need by building a solid portfolio of power optimized
solutions tailored for large scale and AI datacenters.
In addition to enterprise SSD
controllers, FADU also showcased Power Management IC and Power Loss Protection
(PLP) IC solutions at the event, positioning itself as a full-fledged fabless
company delivering total power optimization solutions for next generation
datacenters.
FADU
has already been collaborating with major global hyperscalers and is now
accelerating its expansion into Asian markets, including China and Taiwan,
diversifying its customer base.
Co-CEO Jihyo Lee commented, “Being
invited to the TSMC Technology Symposium reflects the growing recognition of
FADU’s technology within
the global semiconductor industry. Going forward, we will continue to develop future growth technologies based
on our controller expertise and expand collaborations with global customers and
partners to solidify our role as a leading fabless company for AI-era
datacenters.”
